Support Updates for Quest 1

Support Updates for Quest 1

Greetings Zenitheans,

We here at Ramen VR have been very excited about our work on patch 1.3 Skyward Summit. However, there has been one issue that’s been hindering our development of the patch and something we need to address. After much consideration, we have made the hard decision to stop supporting certain legacy headsets, one of which is the Quest 1. We know this news may come as a disappointment to some of our players who have been using this device to experience the world of Zenith, and for that we apologize. Thankfully, with Zenith being a cross-platform game, you are able to continue playing with your characters on modern hardware now, or in the future.

This means that starting with our upcoming major patch 1.3 Skyward Summit, the new features and improvements will not be available for the Quest 1. In addition, users will not be able to run the Zenith app after September 15, 2023. Currently, maintaining support for Quest 1 is impacting the quality and stability for Quest 2 (~98% of our Quest users have Quest 2 headsets), and we feel that this is the best course of action to be able to best serve the vast majority of our users.

We are committed to delivering the best possible experience to all of our players and we are confident that this decision will ultimately lead to a more stable, seamless, and enjoyable experience for all users moving forward. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.

Sincerely,

The Ramen VR Team
